To begin the install raise the vehicle and support it with jack stands at a height that you can safely and comfortably work under, and remove the wheels. It sounds like the quality of the OME kit is. A lot of body work was needed to fit the 33×12.50 BFG MT’s shown in the pictures, but with the 3 suspension and 3 body lift combo from Calmini you can fit 32’s on your Sidekick or Tracker. So I removed the Calmini coil springs and installed brand new Suzuki coils with 3" spacers. Im looking at the Calmini and RockyRoad/OME 2.5 suspension lifts (but Im open to suggestions as well). She hit like a tank with the Calmini coils. I think the heavy coils from Calmini actually helped here, because after install the front handles better than ever. This is a heavier engine than the original gas zuk engine. Here is the story : I installed the lift into my 1995 4door sidekick. If you read most of the comments they will talk of the roughness of the ride. The only thing I found with it, is the ride of the vehicle is changed slightly. Seriously though I am very pleased with its construction, aswell as the simplicity to install it. Probrably to heavy in some areas too ! ha!!. calminis kit compensates for this with their full suspension kit, and besides without the extra weight your at the same principal as rocky roads but you get 4.5' without having to use a 2' body lift now add a 2' body lift and your sitting 6.5' higher and you can fit bigger tires with some fender trimming.
Īs for the Kit itself, it is very well built !! It is heavy and very robust. Toyo AT tires, 1' spacer in the rear, and Ford rear shocks. Support the spindles and remove the lower strut bolts. Remove the brake lines from the struts and remove the calipers.
Remove the 3 nuts and bolts holding the ball joints to the a-arms and save the hardware.
